ANISA:  A BECOMING OF AGE PROGRAM FOR GIRLS
(AGES 8-13) 

Anisa: A Becoming of Age Program for Girls seeks to teach girls about their innate femininity and the role that it complements. Anisa participants will learn about the following:
 

  • ï‚·Reproductive health which will include  topics such as puberty, menstruation, and diet and exercise.

  • ï‚·The role of women in Religious Scripture (Holy Bible and Holy Quran)

  • The role of the woman in society

  • ï‚·The importance of education in planning for their future

  • The importance of  health relationships and ï‚· marriage
     

In addtion to these topics, sttudents will read the book The Correct Thing to Do, to Say, to Wear by Charlotte Hawkins Brown. For six weeks girls will meet from 10:00am-2:00pm:

  • June 11, 2022

  • June 18, 2022

  • July 9, 2022

  • July 16, 2022

  •  August 13, 2022 

  • August 20, 2022

Scholars will learn 

  • Sewing 

  • Cooking 

  • Etiquette 

  • Knowledge and care of the female body 

  • And much more about becoming a woman, wife, and mother 

  • Costs $25.00 per class or $150.00 per 6-week session 

  • Seating is limited to 10 students 

  • Lunch will be served
